Tahoma 31 used at the Monterrey Stadium
Tahoma 31 is a bermudagrass developed by Oklahoma State University’s turfgrass experts for use not just in sportsfield applications, but also to withstand winter conditions, such as increased shade, winter weather, and drought conditions.
This variety boasts a strong cold-weather tolerance with only a 4% killrate*. Tahoma 31 also greens up earlier once Spring conditions come into play compared to competitors due to its cold-tolerance. This variety is also adaptable to multiple climate types, boosted by its added drought tolerance and salt tolerance.
Tahoma 31 is perfect for sports fields and golf courses across the nation with its already mentioned benefits. Additionally, it has a stronger and faster bounce-back rate from common use and wear, allowing the grass to recover more quickly between uses.
